Construction Materials for Our World
A highway. A runway. A bridge. A home. At Sunrock, we mine our own raw materials and manufacture them into the basic building materials of construction: concrete, asphalt and aggregates. But besides producing these building blocks, we also deliver something else: quality.
Our Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest, Woodsdale, Kittrell, Butner, and Zebulon plants use efficient processes and innovative thinking to supply North Carolina with some of the best products in the construction materials industry. From the lab to the quarry to the mixer to the truck, intensive quality control procedures are implemented at every step of the process.
Why does America need aggregates?
Aggregates have many uses. Ninety-five percent of asphalt pavement and more than 85% of a concrete sidewalk is aggregate. The ability to improve and build America’s most basic infrastructure depends on the availability of aggregates.
Without highways, airports, rail and water systems, America cannot continue to grow and develop as a country. Our nation’s economic security is dependent upon the continued growth and repair of its infrastructure, which is constructed primarily of aggregates, concrete and asphalt. America’s continued population growth translates into an increased number of airports, licensed drivers, means of transportation and housing. With this increase in population comes a greater need for new transportation systems, as well as the maintenance of its present ones.
The Sunrock Difference
Sunrock Industries offers its customers a unique experience. Because we are a vertically integrated construction materials company, we mine raw building materials from our quarries and manufacture these building materials into value-added products such as ready-mixed concrete and hot mix asphalt.
